Scholarships offered by Aberystwyth University
Aberystwyth Regional Scholarship – This scholarship is offered by the university to the students through its regional scholarships. Up to £8000 for undergraduate students and up to £3000 for postgraduate students is offered. £2000 is deducted from the tuition fee every year, eligible students must be from specific country under self funding without any external financial help, they must also fulfill the entry requirements of the university to avail this scholarship.
Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship – University offers a generous £3000 deduction from the tuition fee and a certificate of recognition. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must enrolled for postgraduate program with a bachelor’s degree equivalent to UK first class honors. Students must also be international fee payers with self funding belonging to specific country. This scholarship can be combined with international accommodation award, with receiving no additional grant from any university.

International Accommodation Award –University offers free accommodation to internationalstudents subjected to certain conditions. All undergraduate, postgraduate, foundation and fee PhD students are eligible for free accommodation at Cwrt Mawr block only, students are advised to apply on time to avoid any complicacies. Entry Requirements at the Aberystwyth University
For Undergraduate Courses
- Applicants must pass 12th standard from recognized boards like CBSE or ICSE with at least 65-75%. Few courses like science and technical subjects demands higher percentage.
- For English Language Proficiency, applicants must have required scores in following tests. At least 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in every component in IELTS or at least overall score of 79 with approximate sub scores in TOEFL iBT or overall score of 56 with no less than 51 in each component in PTE.
- Few special courses like Business, Law and Computer Science requires additional subjects requirements
For Postgraduate Courses
- Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized Indian university with 55- 60% for entry in master’s programs. However, courses like Computer Science, Business requires higher percentage.
- For English Language Proficiency, applicants must have required scores in following tests. At least 6.5overall with no less than 6.0 in every component in IELTS or at least overall score of 88 with approximate sub scores in TOEFL iBT or overall score of 62 with no less than 56 in each component in PTE.
- Some courses requires a portfolio and work experience.
- Applicants scoring 70% or higher in English language can be an alternative for English Language tests requirements.
- Some professional courses and fine arts courses requires a portfolio and also an interview session.
- University acceptance rate is health and hovers around 80%.
