Entry Requirements at Loughborough University
To gain direct entry to an undergraduate course, you must also be holding UK A level qualifications or IB.
English Proficiency: Satisfactory overall performance in the Test of at least 6.5 overall (at least 6.0 each in reading, writing, listening, and speaking exercises). Yet, some programs can ask for a higher score.

For postgraduate taught and research degrees: A bachelor’s degree equivalent to a UK or a program structure of 1 or 2:2.
English Proficiency:
- Same requirements as in the undergraduate (IELTS 6.5 or higher for some courses). In this case, they might be used to study and select among research intensive programs that would require higher scores.
- Equivalent to a degree program at their home institution, in order to meet academic requirements, there.
English Language Requirements
Loughborough requires proof of English proficiency for all programs:
